The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and 3 has its Mary Jane Watson

Just about a week after news leaked saying Sony was talking with female actor Shailene Woodley to play the role of Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, it is now official.
The Hollywood Reporter is ... um (Austin Powers moment here) ... reporting that Woodley has landed the coveted role in the Spidey sequel and she will play a much large role in the third installment of this Spider-Man reboot as well.
"[It] is proving to be only a very small part in Amazing Spider-Man 2 but blossoms into an integral lead for the planned third movie as the studio seeks to build to the classic 'Death of Gwen Stacy' story."
In other words, look for more flirting between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey in the sequel, that is until Parker meets Ms. Watson and begins to turn his attention to her. Whether Stacey dies in the second or third movie remains to be scene but you'd have to think her death is the perfect cliffhanger when the credits roll at the end of the second movie.
