Star Wars Rumor: Walt Disney World already planning Star Wars park in Orlando

Disney

The news has hit fans hard. Disney owns Star Wars and Lucasfilm. Not to mention the entertainment juggernaut has also confirmed that Star Wars Episode VII is coming in 2015 with Episodes VIII and IX coming every 2-3 years after.

Now the rumors are starting to hit.

The biggest of the rumors/whispers being heard from insider circles is that Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. could already be developing a brand new Star Wars-themed park to add to their Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios parks.

Star Wars has been seen in Disney's central Florida parks in the past as part of a Lucasfilm partnership called, Star Wars Weekends. Now it seems Disney wants Star Wars everyday with the possibility of a brand new Star Wars amusement park.

There is no doubt this rumored new park could be the biggest thing to hit the amusement park industry in a very long time. And who doesn't want to go to a Star Wars park? All we can do is cross our fingers that this is not just a rumor and it becomes a reality.
