If there is one superhero who really needs a solid big screen adaption done the right way already, it is Superman. On June 14, 2013, fans of Superman will hopefully get this when Man of Steel hits theaters.

The actor portraying the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill, recently spoke with Cineplex magazine and shared some interesting but basic information about the new movie.

“What I can say is that it’s a modernization of the character and a very realistic view of one, obviously, very fantastic individual,” Cavill said to Cineplex. “It’s an unreal situation, but it’s approached from a very practical viewpoint. We wanted to make the character easier to identify with.”

We told you it was basic info but is sounds like director Zach Snyder's version of Supes is in line with the down-to-Earth nature writer/director Christopher Nolan achieved with his Batman trilogy. Nolan is a producer on Man of Steel but this is not a Nolan-flick at the same time.

What is interesting is that no info has been leaked—or maybe the right question has yet to be asked—regarding if Man of Steel will set up a brand new and cohesive movie universe for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.
