SDCC 2012 Exclusive: How Deadpool Crashed Marvel's Video Games Panel to Announce New Game at Comic Con

Deadpool has his own video game and the Merc With a Mouth himself officially announced this at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. How it happened is even a better story as The Daily SuperHero has your exclusive on how this went down.

It all started when I was walking in front of the San Diego Convention Center and then, from behind, heard some guy on a megaphone saying some ridiculous things. I didn't think anything of it until a shoulder touch occurred and the guy said into the megaphone, which was right in my face, "You must follow me to see something amazing!"

Thinking it was some crazy activist (there's plenty of them at the Con) it wasn't, however, it was definitely someone crazy. It was Deadpool himself (in reality, a very good actor portraying him) and an entourage of people with him that included 10-12 Comic Con attendees.

It was a publicity stunt and Deadpool continued to talk into his megaphone saying crazy things to the crowds at SDCC. Managing to walk next to one of his entourage the question of what was happening was asked. I was told Deadpool was about to crash Marvel's own video game panel, in Room 6A at the convention center, to officially announce his brand new game and if you're with him you get into the panel to watch it happen.

Seeing as how I wanted to get into that panel, but the line was too huge to wait in and already around of the building, following Deadpool was my ticket to get in.

Deadpool continued to talk into his megaphone while in the convention center and he even got stopped by security telling him to stop using it inside (see photo). So he stopped but was still talking loudly and in an insane manner, just like Deadpool does.

As we all made our way to panel, security was becoming more and more unpleasant with Deadpool and his entourage that now consisted of 40-50 people. Security was constantly attempting to disperse the crowd following Deadpool was very good at making sure security understood what was taking place.

To make a long story short Deadpool entered the panel, as did his entourage, and he stopped the panel dead in its tracks to make his announcement. The new trailer for the video game was shown and when it ended, he asked to play it again.

The crowd was shocked and went crazy at the same time and the stunt was pulled of with great precision.
