The Wolverine News: New Movie Will Be a "True Berserker, Bad Ass Wolverine"

Sourced from Collider

The Wolverine movie has seen its fair share of director changes and delays due to the natural disaster in Japan last year, but it is now finally in pre-production and set to film in both Australia and Japan in the coming months.

In an interview with Collider, Fox CEO Tom Rothman briefly spoke about the plot of the new film.

"This is...a pretty original take. It’s based on a very successful run in the comics, but it’s a true Wolverine movie, I mean this is the true berserker, bad ass Wolverine."

Some speculation has said the film will loosely follow the story line of the Chris Claremont and Frank Miller run on Wolverine where it takes him to Japan and he goes ... well ... berserker.

A brief description of the Claremont and Miller story, per Amazon.com: "The master of mutants joins the master of ninjas in Wolverine's first solo series - replete with romance, intrigue, and mayhem! Our beleaguered berserker's in Japan on a mission of the heart, if he can survive the Hand first! Plus: the introduction of everyone's favorite riotous ronin, Yukio."
