The Avengers is a huge hit, Thanos is in the mid-credits scene as the potential next villain and a sequel has already been announced. Marvel Studios and Disney are about to become busier then ever now that their new super franchise is a success.

So what does this mean in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (now being called the MCU)?

This means Marvel and Disney will go full-steam ahead while they have a firm grasp on the genre and you can look forward to seeing more Marvel characters introduced to the big screen.

One character who should get his own movie is Dr. Hank Pym—also known as the Ant-Man and Giant Man. Pym's inclusion into the MCU not only means a new member of The Avengers will be introduced but a solo film would be host to several other Marvel characters who are connected to Pym. This solo flick would serve as a vehicle to introduce not only Ant-Man and/or Giant Man but the Wasp (Janet van Dyne who is also Pym's love interest), the evil robot Ultron and possibly the android Vision.

Perhaps this movie wouldn't be ready until well after The Avengers 2 is finished but as far as further foreshadowing goes, having a movie with Pym could easily set up an attack of killer robots led by Ultron.

For those who are not familiar with the Pym-Ultron story, here it is in a nutshell. A brilliant inventor, Pym invents a robot to assist him and bases its artificial intelligence on his own brain patterns. Ultron eventually adapts, upgrades itself several times and develops its own intelligence. Ultron then rebels against its "father" (Pym).

Ultron becomes the villain, whom many fans are aware of in the comic book universe, at this point and in one of his first attacks against Pym and The Avengers, the villain robot creates his own killer android who attacks the team. This android is named Vision.

Vision eventually realizes the error of his own master's ways—similar to how Ultron had his epiphany to revolt against Pym—but takes issue against Ultron. Vision then joins up with The Avengers.

All-in-all this is a story worthy of the big screen and would be a fantastic story for The Avengers 3.

We may be getting way ahead of ourselves but this is just one journalist's attempt to hopefully voice an opinion that Ultron needs to be on the big screen. If Dreamworks can make the Transformers come to life, why can't Marvel do the same with its own killer robot, in Ultron?

If you have your own reasons as to why Ultron would be a terrific villain to see in theaters, please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
