X-Men First Class Sequel Update: Filming Starts in January 2013

One of the biggest surprises of the 2011 summer movie season was the positive reaction to the fifth X-Men film in the franchise, X-Men: First Class.

A big hurdle, for the sequel, is the fact they need to work around the new Hunger Games film franchise since both movies has actress Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) in them. With a Hunger Games sequel set to film this fall, X-Men First Class is set to shoot in January next year, per The Hollywood Reporter.

X-Men: First Class brought in over $350 million worldwide and a sequel was obviously going to be in the works sooner or later.
