It's been since 2005 when Sin City hit theaters with an original style of visual storytelling that mirrored the panels drawn in Frank Miller's graphic novels and seven years later a sequel will finally go to production.
Called, and based on, A Dame to Kill For the new Sin City movie reportedly has both co-directors Robert Rodriguez and creator Frank Miller pairing up to helm the new movie.
"I have wanted to re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations," Rodriguez said, per ComicBook.com. "A Dame To Kill For will certainly be worth the wait."
Miller agreed with Rodriguez.
"The first Sin City knocked out audiences who had never seen anything like it before," Miller said. "Robert Rodriguez and I are going to shake things up and deliver a ferocious film experience that is going to go even further than the first."
Further details are not available at this time but it is also reported the majority of the original (and applicable) cast will return for the sequel too.
