If there is one Marvel character who has gone through multiple changes, after only two movies, it's The Incredible Hulk. Being in The Avengers the Hulk's counterpart, Bruce Banner, has his third actor portraying the brilliant scientist who got bombarded with gamma radiation to become the Green Goliath.
First it was Eric Bana, then Edward Norton Jr. and now Mark Ruffalo, who spoke with IGN Movies and would love to be in his own stand-alone Hulk movie after The Avengers.
"Why not! It was the one character—you know, I was a comic book fan when I was a kid and I always loved the Hulk. When The Incredible Hulk, that show, came on, I would not miss that," Ruffalo said. "And so if I was going to find myself in that world, this would be the guy that I would be most interested in doing. To make a very short answer long: Yeah, I'd love to have him do his own movie."
With Iron Man 3 in pre-production and theatrical release dates set for Thor 2 and Captain America 2, there is nothing set for The Incredible Hulk 2.
Perhaps The Avengers will end in a manner where Ruffalo can eventually get his wish and the Marvel character who "is the strongest there is" will get more time on the big screen with another movie.
