As the next film in the long-running Superman franchise is currently being filmed, many wonder if director Zach Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan will be able to bring the caped hero back to relevance on the big screen in "Man of Steel."
As the main villain, General Zod, actor Michael Shannon was recently talking about his role in the film.
"He's actually not a very scary guy,” Shannon said. “He's just trying to do his job, just like anybody."
A villain who is not scary?
That doesn't sound promising, in the opinion of this journalist, since the original Zod was scary and intimidating (and awesome).
Perhaps this is just a way of sending a mixed message to confuse the fans who are eagerly awaiting the new film in summer 2013.
Until more information is released, it is all speculation right now.
