On Thursday, SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY opened early in the afternoon and broke the Thursday record set by AVENGERS: ENDGAME. Now it's broke another box office record after ticket sales came in for Friday.
According to Deadline:
"Sony/Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day is heading for an all-time record opening day (including previews) between $167 million-$173 million. That easily would kick the first day/preview opening record of Avengers: Endgame ($157.4M) to the side, not to mention the U.S./Canada debut here is well ahead of Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s first Friday/previews of $121.96M. This is according to industry sources, not Sony right now."How high will Spidey fly? As the saying goes, records are made to be broken.
