Chris Hemsworth is Committed to Continue as THOR Beyond LOVE AND THUNDER

Tony Stark is dead. Steve Rogers decided to go back in time to live his life and become old. Thor is the God of Thunder and seemingly going nowhere.

This is great news for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as actor Chris Hemsworth told Elle Man (via TheDirect) he is committed to continuing as Thor beyond his next standalone movie, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER.

The actor said the following when asked if he was going to retire as the Thunder God after his next movie:

"Are you crazy ?! I'm not going into any retirement period (laughs). Thor is way too young for that. I'm only 1500 years old! It is definitely not a film that I say goodbye to this brand. At least I hope so."

Hemsworth also shared how excited he is for his next Marvel Studios film.

"After reading the script, I can say that I am very excited. For sure there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning in this production (laughs). I'm glad that after all that happened in Avengers: Endgame, I'm still part of the Marvel Universe and we can continue the story of Thor. Of course, I can't tell you anything about the plot, but to satisfy your curiosity, I'll say that I had a lot more fun reading the script than on Thor Ragnarok, and that proves something, because this movie was brilliant."

Rumor has it filming the next Thor movie will begin in the first half of 2021.

THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER releases on February 11, 2022.
