ANT-MAN 3 Director Offers Brief Update Including WASP Having Equal Billing

As a worldwide pandemic continues, Hollywood is finally, albeit, slowly beginning to start productions and filming once again across the globe. Although, public safety lockdowns have provided many creatives the chance to revamp scripts and dive into writing even before they were supposed to start writing a project.

This holds true for ANT-MAN 3. Director Peyton Reed is returning to helm the threequel and offered up a brief update to Yahoo! Movies.

“We have [cracked the story]. Nothing is official yet, but we’re quietly working. We’re working through the pandemic.”

Reed continued to share how actress Evangeline Lilly will get equal billing in the new film.

“They’re a partnership, and she’s a very, very important part of that... I guess technically we were the first Marvel movie with a female hero in the title of the movie. Finding that balance in that movie, that’s very important to me because that’s very much a men’s playing field, historically. But that’s really, really changing now in a great way."

Reed and writer Jeff Loveness are working together on the script right now with ANT-MAN 3 planning to release at some point in 2022, barring any further release delays due to the pandemic.
