THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Director Taika Waititi Quickly Teases the Upcoming Movie

THOR: RAGNAROK and THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER director Taika Waititi took to his Instagram account for a live viewing of his first Marvel Studios film, and along with way teased some interesting bits about his upcoming Thor franchise movie.

First, both Korg and Miek will return for the next movie and Waititi, who mo-caps Korg as well as does the voice for the character, confirmed the origins of Korg will be touched upon.

"We do touch on Korg's culture [and] where he's from. If you look in the comics about Kronans, it's an interesting thing about where they come from."

Next, the director confirmed that the Silver Surfer, whose rights at back with Marvel Studios after Disney's purchase of all 20th Century Fox assets, will not appear in the movie.

Finally, Waititi confirmed his fondness of another "worthy" Marvel character in Beta Ray Bill. Although, the director fell just short of confirming Beta Ray Bill's inclusion in the movie even though the implication is quite heavy that he just may appear. Waititi did say that an appearance in the film is "still up in the air."

THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER will now release on February 18, 2022.
