Warner Bros. Delays WONDER WOMAN 1984 Theatrical Release by 2 Months

As soon as Disney and Marvel Studios delayed BLACK WIDOW from its May 1 release date — to a still unknown release date as of the publishing of this post — superhero fans everywhere still had the fact that WONDER WOMAN 1984 was holding strong onto its June 4 release date.

Well, that is no more. Warner Bros. has officially delayed the theatrical release of WONDER WOMAN 1984 and pushed it back just over two months, per Deadline.

Now, the sequel will release on August 14.

“When we greenlit WW 1984 it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros. Pictures will be bringing the film to theatres on August 14th. We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then,” said Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Chairman Toby Emmerich in a statement today.
