LOKI Series Now Confirmed to be Tied into DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

We already knew the WANDAVISION Disney+ streaming series was going to tie directly into the events of DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS seeing as how actress Elizabeth Olsen would reprise her role as Scarlet Witch in both the series and the movie sequel.

What we did not perviously know is that the streaming series LOKI will, too, be directly tied into the DOCTOR STRANGE 2. This was confirmed by Marvel Studios president and Marvel CCO Kevin Feige to Bloomberg.

"If you want to understand everything in future Marvel movies, [Feige] says, you’ll probably need a Disney+ subscription, because events from the new shows will factor into forthcoming films such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Scarlet Witch will be a key character in that movie, and Feige points out that the Loki series will tie in, too. 'I’m not sure we’ve actually acknowledged that before,' he says. 'But it does.'"

Loki was last seen dead at the hands of Thanos at the start of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, but then saw the 2012 version of himself escape and disappear with the Tesseract during the time heist in AVENGERS: ENDGAME. Reportedly, his series will be based on the events of that escaped version of Loki.

LOKI and WANDAVISION will debut exclusively on Disney+ in spring 2021, with DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS releasing in the theaters on May 7, 2021.
