AVENGERS: ENDGAME Is Getting Added Footage Next Weekend to Push its Box Office Gross Over AVATAR

Marvel Studios' AVENGERS: ENDGAME is less than $50 million away from claiming the No. 1 worldwide spot from AVATAR. Which is kind of funny because AVATAR is now a Disney-owned property, but that is not stoping the Mouse and studio head Kevin Feige from wanting that top spot.

While speaking during a press tour for SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, Feige confirmed AVENGERS: ENDGAME will get more footage added to its theatrical release. Although not this weekend, but starting next weekend.

Per ComicBook.com, when asked about more footage being added:

"We are doing that. I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much... Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend."

And according to ScreenRant, here are some details about the added footage:

"Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend."

This upcoming weekend is the release of TOY STORY 4, so Disney definitely does not want Endgame taking away from the opening weekend of their big Pixar film. So get ready to test your bladder (again) the following weekend... if you need to see the newly added footage and help push Endgame to the No. 1 grossing movie ever.
