Chris Hemsworth is Energized and Would Love to Play THOR in More Movies

Now that the Endgame is in the rearview mirror, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving forward without Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. While the mantle of Captain America has been passed from Rogers to Sam Wilson — which is rumored to be explored more in-depth in the Disney+ streaming series FALCON & WINTER SOLDIER in 2020 — one of the original Avengers is ready for more adventures of his own.

That is none other than Chris Hemsworth's Thor, who has gone through one of the most dramatic (and satisfying) character development and transformations starting in 2017's THOR: RAGNAROK and continuing in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

Hemsworth was interviewed by Variety and he said he is ready for more of the God of Thunder.

“I’d still love to do more, to be honest. And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go. But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.”

Let's be honest for a moment with that last part of him saying "if it's the end here." This really does not seem plausible as Thor was last seen flying away to space with the Guardians of the Galaxy thus fueling fan anticipation he could play a role in James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3. The fans want it, Hemsworth wants to do more, and surely Gunn could do some fun stuff with Thor in his Guardians threequel, too.

Also, don't forget about how Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has gone on record saying how he continues to have discussions with Marvel Studios about helming another movie down the road. Seems inevitable that could be THOR 4.

Thor still has the opportunity of lots of stories to tell as the studio expands its cosmic side of its cinematic universe. And Thor should be right there front-and-center leading that charge.
