THOR: RAGNAROK is only behind SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING ($880M) and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 ($863M) when it comes to top Marvel Studios films that have not crossed $1 billion in worldwide grosses.
Domestically, this weekend the third Thor film took in an estimated $16 million for the 3-day weekend tally and $25 million in the 5-day extended holiday weekend frame. This brings its domestic total to $277 million.
Even more impressive is its worldwide total which is now at $790 million as it moves ahead of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ($773M) this weekend to claim the seventh spot on the top grossing list for Marvel Studios' 17 films.
