The only director name associated with helming SUICIDE SQUAD 2 has been Mel Gibson. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Gibson is out and Warner Bros. has targeted a new helmer.
Director Jaume Collet-Serra (THE SHALLOWS) is reportedly the frontrunner for the villain ensemble sequel. The movie is currently in development with a new script in the works after Gibson moved on from the movie project.
No date has been set for SUICIDE SQAUD 2 but if it starts filming next year you can expect it to potentially release sometime in 2019.
