In retrospect, THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE was kind of a bust. It was a huge missed opportunity in making one of the best Batman movies ever. This is unfortunate because prior to the movie's release, we here at DailySuperHero.com thought it could be a contender for the $1 billion movie club since it had a lot of hype going for it.
The dust has settled since its February release and THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE has only brought in $301 million in the worldwide box office, via BoxOfficeMojo. With a budget of $80 million, it's not a total loss but it's not the huge hit as the studio anticipated.
Now, the animated movie will be available for digital HD download on May 19 and on Blu Ray June 13. Here's the home release announcement trailer...
