SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Sets Release Date in Summer 2019

This year fans got the first look at Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Just a few days ago, fans got a look at Spidey's first solo movie adventure based within the MCU when the SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING trailer was officially released.

Now, news has hit The Hollywood Reporter stating the sequel to SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING has an official release date set for July 5, 2019.

This make perfect sense seeing as how Marvel Studios — who is making these Spider-Man movies while Sony is just financing the budget for them — still had an opening in their three-movies-per-year schedule in 2019 after INHUMANS was removed from it earlier this year. This means the first MCU movie after AVENGERS 4 will in fact be the Spider-Man sequel.
