Ghost Rider: First Look at Robbie Reyes in AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 4

In July, prior to San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Television revealed their AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 4 logo skinned onto one of the San Diego trains. This created some commotion in the Marvel fan community that Ghost Rider could show up in the TV series due to a fiery chain in the new season image.

Then at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel TV confirmed exactly what everyone guessed... Ghost Rider was in fact going to be a part of AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 4. But not as stunt rider Johnny Blaze, instead as hot rod mechanic Roberto (Robbie) Reyes.

This version of Ghost Rider is one of many from the Marvel comic book universe and it is the newest version created; based on the 2014 Marvel NOW! comic book title, 'Ghost Rider.' In this comic, Reyes is one of two brothers. His brother, Gabe Reyes, is disabled and Robbie cares for his handicapped brother. Whether or not this part of the Reyes storyline will be adapted in Season 4 is unknown right now but some of it might make it into the show.

Also at San Diego Comic-Con, the first look at Reyes' suped-up Dodge Challenger was revealed in Marvel's booth.

Now, Entertainment Weekly has officially released the first look at actor Gabriel Luna as Reyes.

UPDATE 9/7/16 10:07 a.m. ET: Check out another look at Robbie Reyes, via TVLine.

AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, September 20 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
