Report: Marvel Studios Brought Dan Harmon in For Additional DOCTOR STRANGE Script Work

Dan Harmon is a name some may not know but if you liked his television series COMMUNITY or currently his animated hit RICK AND MORTY, then you're more than familiar with his work. To say Harmon is a cult favorite is an understatement.

But now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he can add writing for Marvel Studios to his resume.

THR says Harmon was brought in for some work on the DOCTOR STRANGE script after principle photography ended and before reshoots. His work on the film was said to be "for additional photography" in the movie according to one of THR's sources.

This is Harmon's first foray into the world of super heroes and what the bigger story might be here is how big of a fan Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige really is of Harmon. This thought is mainly due to Feige's professed love of the paintball episodes on COMMUNITY, which landed Joe and Anthony Russo their first Marvel gig helming CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, followed be CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR up next and AVENGERS 4 after that.

It is unknown if this could lead to a bigger writing role at Marvel Studios for Harmon, but anything is possible as long as Fiege loves the work you do in his Marvel Cinematic Universe.
