***THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SUICIDE SQUAD.***
It's been a secret as to who the main antagonist of SUICIDE SQUAD will be. Having an ensemble movie starring villains as the protagonists means anyone could really be the true antagonist. Some thought it could be the Enchantress. But it was also suspected that the Joker could play a role against the team.
In early June, director David Ayer said the team will face-off against the Eyes of the Adversary. Since then, nothing more has been revealed.
Until now.
During their set visit, ComicBook got some dirt on the film's antagonists and it's all of the above... and then some. The Joker will most definitely play a role against the team as he wants to reconnect with his love, Harley Quinn. Also, it sounds like at some point in the film, Enchantress will go toe-to-toe with the team but the how and why remains somewhat a mystery.
Finally, the Eyes of the Adversary have already been revealed by Ayer but they are under the control of a villain who was referred to, by producers, as The Adversary, during the Toronto set visit. This antagonist is the one who is controlling the Eyes of the Adversary, who are quickly shown in several of the trailers and television spots.
This is how movies should be — instead of revealing too much in trailers and TV spots — because revealing who the big bad antagonist is in this movie while you're in your theater seat makes this movie that much more exciting.
SUICIDE SQUAD releases worldwide on August 5.
