DC Workplace Comedy POWERLESS Adds Ron Funches to its Cast and Unveils SDCC 2016 Poster

Retcon Insurance... hilarious!

Warner Bros. is bringing their new NBC workplace comedy super hero series POWERLESS to San Diego Comic-Con International this week and Entertainment Weekly has revealed the show's new poster. Poster art by comic artist Neal Adams and this poster will only be available at the Warner Bros. SDCC booth.

EW is also reporting that comedian, and @Midnight regular, Ron Funches (far left) has been added to its main cast as an IT guy who still has a childlike fondness for all-things super heroes. Funches says his inclusion in the new show was revealed two weeks ago but this is the first time it's hit the news wires.

Logline:

"In the first comedy series set in the universe of DC Comics, Vanessa Hudgens plays Emily, a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. It’s when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult “hero” in her own right … even if it’s just to her group of lovably quirky co-workers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers."

POWERLESS premieres during the NBC midseason break later this year.
