MPAA Gives SUICIDE SQUAD a PG-13 Rating

SUICIDE SQUAD has received a PG-13 rating by the MPAA for "sequences of violence and action throughout, disturbing behavior, suggestive content and language."

Back in March, producer Charles Roven said that SUICIDE SQUAD would not be R-rated, despite the huge success of DEADPOOL the previous month.

“I think right now we’re going for the PG-13. I don’t know that that’s going to materially change. We can give that movie the edge that it needs and still maintain a PG-13.”

Yet, there were still some fans who had their fingers crossed it could be rated-R. That never happened and it's PG-13.

A letdown? Not really because PG-13 movies do walk a fine line of nearly being rated-R and surely SUICIDE SQUAD will do this too.

SUICIDE SQUAD releases on August 5.
