If you've been following DailySuperHero.com for a while now you've probably noticed that we do not post every bit of rumor information you will see elsewhere online. This is due to the fact that just because something is rumored, or even said by an actor, it doesn't often mean it's true or worthy of the time it tasks to write up a post about it.
The tabloid side of the Internet is most definitely fueling way too many online posts in today's digital news media and it's tough for some fans to filter out what is truth and what is downright tabloid garbage anymore. This is why we do what we do here at DailySuperHero.com and sometimes it's better to wait for possible clarification on some rumors than to put out false information to our readers. Our credibility and journalistic integrity is more important to us than it is on many other sites and blogs across the web who just want to get your page view and click.
The point of telling you all of that is to show you how ignorant some places across the web can be when it comes to rumors. Just a couple of days ago Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, was in London speaking publicly to a crowd and said:
"I finish Episode 8, and then I’m out of work."
This was blown out way out of proportion as sites and blogs wrote headlines claiming that Luke might die by the time the credits roll for STAR WARS EPISODE VIII.
We did not post about this because it seemed to be taken out of context. And, as it happens too often in these scenarios, Hamill has took to his Twitter account to confirm what he said. Here's Hamill's response to all the sensationalism headlines.

His use of the hashtag #DontOverThinkEVERYTHING is so spot-on! Don't believe everything you read online is a phrase that will never go away as long as there are sites and blogs whose editors can't filter out these non-stories from their daily coverage. It's a sad truth of journalism online.
STAR WARS EPISODE VIII is currently filming and releases on December 15, 2017.
