One of the biggest secrets in Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE is who actor Mads Mikkelsen is playing. It's already been confirmed he will be an antagonist, but the character's name is still a mystery. Until now.
Maybe. Because toys most times do not reveal major spoilers but this seems more legit because second figure on the top row in the image below does match the outfit Mikkelsen's character is seen wearing the the teaser trailer image shown above.
According to a new reveal of Diamond Select's Marvel Minimates figure line for the film, Mikkelsen looks to be playing a character called Kaecilius. In the comics, Kaecilius is a disciple of Baron Mordo.

Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing Karl Mordo who, in the comics, becomes an adversary of Doctor Strange after The Ancient One choses Strange to become the Sorcerer Supreme instead of Mordo. It remains to be seen if Marvel Studios and director Scott Derrickson will make Mordo an enemy by the end of the movie but it seems like the logical flip-flop to make after it is assumed that Strange defeats Kaecilius. That could be the catalyst for Mordo and Strange's fallout.
DOCTOR STRANGE releases on November 4.
