If you're just a casual comic book and super hero fan then you may not know who Booster Gold is. And according to corroborating reports from Cleats and Capes and BirthMoviesDeath, you might just find out who one of the DC comic book universe's most popular underground character is.
These two sites state that THOR and X-MEN: FIRST CLASS writer Zack Stentz has been secretly working on a script for BOOSTER GOLD. Neither site provides any more information outside of Stentz writing it, while Warner Bros. and DC have not confirmed anything (as of the publishing of this post).
Booster Gold is a former football player from the future who uses a time machine to go back to the past so he can make himself a wealthy and famous man using his knowledge of the past as well as his future's technology. He is an over-the-top character who is a showboat.

Not to make comparisons but a possible/hopeful BOOSTER GOLD movie could be like Warner Bros. and DC Films' version of DEADPOOL, without the R-rating, as a character who can bring some fun and weirdness into the DC Extended Universe. Plus, don't forget Warner Bros. has already set aside two release dates for untitled DC Films on October 5, 2018 and on November 1, 2019. One of these is most likely Ben Affleck's solo BATMAN movie and the other could be BOOSTER GOLD.
Now that word is out that Stentz is writing BOOSTER GOLD more information and rumors are probably right around the corner.
