WOLVERINE 3 Reportedly Adds Actor Boyd Holbrook as Main Villain

As the massive amounts of cash flow settles after the release of DEADPOOL in February, Fox is moving ahead with the release of next month's X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, and they are in pre-production for next year's WOLVERINE 3.

Deadline is reporting director James Mangold has cast his villain and actor Boyd Holbrook has landed the role of, "a relentless, calculating and intense head of security for a global enterprise who is set against Jackman’s clawed Wolverine/Logan hero."

Holbrook will join actors Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, who will return as Professor X which implies a future timeline for this movie, in the film and the movie is set to start filming in the coming month or two.

Who Holbrook will be remains unknown (comment below) and it still seems apparent that WOLVERINE 3 will take some story basis from the 'Old Man Logan' comic book story arc.

WOLVERINE 3 will be Jackman's last turn as the X-Men mutant and it releases in theaters on March 3, 2017.
