This is Why There's a Funko POP Glitter Black Panther Walmart Exclusive Figure For CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
Several weeks back when it was announced that they would be a Walmart exclusive Funko POP CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Glitter Black Panther figure it just sounded... weird.
But now it makes more sense as the website GeekFeed got their hands on preview images from the upcoming release of the book Marvel's CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR: The Art of the Movie. These images are of concept art for Black Panther and along with it is a description of his suit that glistens with a hint of silver in a certain light due to its Vibranium construction.
Here's the transcription on the last image:
“The overall concept is that it’s a woven suit- on a more granular level, there is Vibranium woven into the fabric. This Vibranium thread would provide a silver sheen so that when it catches the light, it would glisten a bit. From there we tried to create a design language for patterns to fit very subtly into the hard Vibranium pieces that are woven through the suit.”
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR releases on May 6.
