DOCTOR STRANGE: Dormammu? Nightmare? Blackheart? Kaluu? Who is Mads Mikkelsen's Villain?

Last night the first trailer for DOCTOR STRANGE was revealed and it taught a large general audience who Dr. Stephen Strange is as a surgeon, his unfortunate car accident that damaged his surgery hands and then who he becomes as Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme. The trailer may have been underwhelming so some casual Marvel fans before all the visual effects came into play, but the job of this particular trailer was to inform. And it did just that.

The next question that arises is who actor Mads Mikkelsen plays in DOCTOR STRANGE. But first, if you haven't seen his creepy looking eyes, then check it out in the embedded image below.

There are plenty of theories as to who Mikkelsen is and the two most popular villain names of Dormammu and Nightmare have been suggested a lot. But here's two more names who should be considered: Blackheart and Kaluu.

Blackheart

Blackheart is a demon who is the son of the villain Mephisto. As a demon his powers are many and Mikkelsen's eye makeup definitely looks like it could be of demonic nature. The dark colors around the eyes look similar to how Blackheart's entire body looks in the comics and all the others with similar eye makeup could be Blackheart's minions. Blackheart was last seen in Sony's GHOST RIDER movie but those movie rights reverted back to Marvel Studios in May 2013.
Kaluu

Kaluu is a lesser known villain of Doctor Strange who at one point studied with the Ancient One and has a similar magical power set that would make him a formidable opponent who isn't too overpowering as any of the other demon possibilities might be.

Sure, these character can and will get adapted from the comics onto the big screen so any of the Rogues Gallery of Doctor Strange could be at play here. Until Marvel Studios and director Scott Derrickson reveal who Mikkelsen is, it's all just guesses and speculation right now.

DOCTOR STRANGE releases on November 4.
