JUSTICE LEAGUE Producer Says it'll be Lighter in Tone Than BATMAN V. SUPERMAN and FLASH Will be Comedy Relief

BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is officially releasing and producer Deborah Snyder is already making sure fans who think the movie is too dark and not fun enough will still buy into the fact that JUSTICE LEAGUE will be lighter in tone as well as has some fun (and funny) in it. Snyder told IGN the following:

"Justice League is a little bit lighter because of some of these characters. Flash tends to be more comedic.
"You have all these super heroes in the same movie and you get to see them all together, interact and fighting. It's gonna be a really great spectacle. There's a really great bad guy who I'm not gonna discuss because I don't wanna give it away but there's a lot of really great things I think people will be looking for.
"One of the things that lightens it is having Flash or having characters that are more optimistic."

Of course this can be seen as some possible, pre-emptive damage control due to all the negative reviews and bashing that BATMAN V. SUPERMAN has been receiving this week from critics. However, her husband, Zack Snyder, is directing JUSTICE LEAGUE and so far he has gone darker than expected with both MAN OF STEEL and BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, as well as in his other previous movies too. So it does make some sense for her to say these things. But it'll be interesting to see how much of a lighter tone with a bit more humor and some color Zack can bring into the big DC ensemble film.

And remember, this isn't the first time it's been mentioned how JUSTICE LEAGUE will have a lighter tone as screenwriter Chris Terrio said the same thing about two weeks ago.

"I expect 'Justice League' will be tonally not quite as dark as 'Batman v Superman.' From that point of view, I felt compelled to go back and try to lift us and myself into a different tonal place because I think when you write a darker film, sometimes you want to redeem it all a bit."

JUSTICE LEAGUE begins filming next month and released on November 17, 2017.
