Paul Rudd Updates ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Development

When ANT-MAN released last summer the biggest story surrounding the film was its pre-production debacle where it lost its director right before principle photography was set to begin and filming was delayed about two months. But when the dust settled and the movie released, it was such a success that Marvel Studios greenlit a sequel, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP.

Not only will this be the studios' first movie release with a female lead in the movie title but it was also squeezed into its Phase 3 slate of movies for a theatrical release on July 6, 2018.

Paul Rudd was at the Sundance Film Festival last week and SuperHeroHype caught up with the actor to get an update on Ant-Man's next big screen adventure.

"We are doing a second one, so those meetings are starting to be scheduled and underway as far as what it’s going to be. We’ll start writing it soon.”

While this isn't a really juicy update it does show that progress is being made with developing ANT-MAN AND THE WASP.
