DEADPOOL: Ryan Reynolds is Hopeful For a Sequel and an Appearance in a Possible X-FORCE Movie

The release of DEADPOOL is only days away and it's good (read The Daily SuperHero's review at the post link below). So good where its critics score is in the low 80s on RottenTomatoes right now. This is solid for any hard R-rated movie and the initial opening weekend projection in the U.S. of $55-$60 million should be higher based on the fact it's getting great reviews and scores.

So it looks like Fox could/should be green lighting DEADPOOL 2 sooner than later and this should make everyone who worked on the movie very happy. Especially actor Ryan Reynolds who has been the face of making this movie a reality for over a half decade.

In an interview the website Filmstarts, Reynolds talks about the potential of more DEADPOOL and says he'd love to be in the X-FORCE movie that Fox has been developing for nearly three years.

"In the future, if we're doing a bunch more Deadpool movies, we're really going to explore the X-Men a lot. And maybe X-Force. X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in."

Kick-Ass 2 writer/director Jeff Wadlow was originally announced to be penning the script for X-FORCE but nothing has been heard about its development since summer 2013. Perhaps he is still working on developing this movie or it might it's stuck in development purgatory. Whatever the case is with the development of X-FORCE, it seems more likely DEADPOOL 2 will come before an X-FORCE movie.

And just throwing this idea out there... a DEADPOOL sequel could be the needed set-up film for a possible X-FORCE ensemble movie starring Deadpool. Just a thought because it would be a great to see Deadpool in his gray X-Force suit.
