WONDER WOMAN: Chris Pine Confirms World War I Setting, Teases His Character and Set Pics Reveal Possible MacGuffin

WONDER WOMAN is currently in production and actor Chris Pine is confirmed to be playing Steve Trevor, who is a military man and potential love interest.

In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Pine confirmed that the film will take moviegoers to World War I and he also teased his character as “a rogue-ish, cynical realist who’s seen the awful brutish nature of modern civilization. He’s a worldly guy, a charming guy and it’s going to be a great, fun film. There are some incredibly deep, interesting and morally relevant themes.”

Also, a bunch of set photos have appeared on the image website Imgur, which show Pine and Gadot together and she may be holding a potential movie MacGuffin (plot device[s] meant to carry a movie's story forward). If you don't want to know what these are, then don't look below this image.

Still here? Okay. Here's the embed of the set photos.

There's rumors circulating around the web that these could be the sword and shield the movie's alleged villain Ares might be seeking out. But again, this is just rumor right now and nothing is confirmed.

WONDER WOMAN releases in 2017.
