Hugh Jackman Wants a "Perfect" Script For WOLVERINE 3 Which is About Halfway Done Right Now

Actor Hugh Jackman will don the adamantium claws and mutton chop look one last time as he has already confirmed WOLVERINE 3 will be his last film as the X-Men mutant Logan. Director of THE WOLVERINE, James Mangold, has also confirmed he will join Jackman once again for the movie and a March 3, 2017 release date has been set by Fox.

Mangold has said filming is planned to begin in "early 2016" but as of right now, per EW, only 60 pages of the script are complete. On average a completed movie script is around 120 pages.

There's no real rush at the moment since production doesn't need to begin until March or April 2016, at the latest. This means there's approximately six months of work to be done to make sure Jackman gets his wish of a "perfect" script (as he told EW) for his final turn in the role.

“It matters too much to me. I care too much about the character and the audience,” Jackman told EW, “and when you say it’s going to be our last one – I want to leave everything out on the table.”

Professor X actor Sir Patrick Stewart is also confirmed to have a large role in WOLVERINE 3 and there's been hints by both Jackman and Stewart the 'Old Man Logan' comic book story arc will be somewhat a basis for the movie.
