At first, The Daily SuperHero was hesitant to post this piece of potential SPOILER news about the newest droid in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS but new imagery has been revealed for BB-8.
Over the weekend a shirt was seen at Hot Topic for BB-8 and in the top part of the shirt it showed BB-8 as a ball in what was called 'escape mode.' Without seeing any visual evidence of this mode yet, it is tough to know if it's just for the shirt or not. But then a new schematic image of BB-8 was posted online by the French website LesToilesHeroiques and it too shows BB-8's ball 'escape mode.'
These two pieces of evidence seems to reveal that BB-8 is capable of changing, or transforming, himself where the head goes inside of his body and BB-8 is just a ball. It can then be assumed BB-8 can move faster than the head is outside of the body.
This is some speculation, by The Daily SuperHero, since J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm have yet to reveal this in any teasers. But why else would is be on a shirt and also a schematic image?
