Just days before San Diego Comic-Con 2015 was set to begin last month, Lucasfilm officially announced their next STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY film. STAR WARS: HAN SOLO (official title has not been revealed) will be developed and directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord (The LEGO Movie).
While speaking with IGN, Miller revealed his favorite character traits of the smuggler.
"I could talk to you for a day about why he is the perfect blend of rogue-ish cowboy... Morally ambiguous, but has a clear moral compass. He’s funny, he’s off the cuff… When I was a kid on the playground, fights were about who got to play Han Solo. He’s just one of the best characters ever created."
Based on this comment it's pretty obvious Han Solo will have these traits and more in the movie. Here's a really brief synopsis of this film from the press release:
The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. The story focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.
