Back in spirng, there were rumors ABC might be interested in ordering an AGENTS OF SHIELD spin-off series. It was rumored to be starring Bobbi Morse / Mockingbird, played by actor Adrianne Palicki. Then ABC went with giving AGENT CARTER a Season 2 green light instead.
Now it seems like ABC has reverted back to its interest in Mockingbird and Variety is reporting a pilot episode has been ordered by the network called MARVEL'S MOST WANTED.
"Titled 'Marvel’s Most Wanted,' the drama will focus on popular 'SHIELD' characters Adrianne Palicki‘s Bobbi Morse (also known as Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. The two actors will topline the pilot and prospective series.
"'SHIELD' producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project for Marvel and ABC Studios, co-writing the pilot. They will serve as showrunners and exec producers together with Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb also exec producing."
No official word on when a possible release date would be but first things first and the pilot needs to be produced in order for ABC to even consider any length of a season order for the new series.
