D23 Expo: No New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer But ROGUE ONE and Theme Park Announcements May Loom

Sorry Star Wars fans but writer/director J.J. Abrams has confirmed to EW there will be no new STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer or footage shown at Disney's D23 Expo this weekend. Abrams says the next trailer comes this fall.

And after Entertainment Weekly revealed all their exclusive information on The Force Awakens in their latest issue, what Star Wars info will be at Saturday's big presentation? Let's quickly speculate...

The obvious thought is to think Lucasfilm film will reveal more info about STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE which has begun filming in London this week. There hasn't been too officially confirmed about Rogue One since Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in April and it seems likely more teases could be coming at D23.

Another announcement gaining a lot of online buzz before the Expo begins is that of a giant Star Wars expansion coming to Disneyland. Since D23 is taking place in the Anaheim Convention Center, just outside of the Disneyland property, it makes sense to hopefully confirm that a galaxy far, far away is being added to the park. In fact, the rumor mill has been churning info out about a Star Wars expansion to the point the website MiceChat (via SlashFilm) has already mapped out the alleged addition in the image below.

But what about a Star Wars expansion/addition at Disney World in Orlando? Not much has been rumored, but first things first and let's see if Disney will make a Star Wars addition official at Disneyland this weekend during D23.

And don't forget The Daily SuperHero has press access to D23 this weekend and is just around the corner from both the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland while typing out this post. So stay tuned.
