SDCC 2015: Funko Officially Announces STAR WARS and DC Subscription Box Services are Coming

Friday night at San Diego Comic-Con Funko held its annual Funko Fun Days party at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. The toy manufacturer gives back to its fans by giving away literally hundreds of exclusive figures that are only available at that party. (Which costs $100 per party ticket, by the way.)

During their presentation, Funko company head Brian Mariotti officially announced Funko was bringing its customers a subscription service for Star Wars and another one for DC super heroes. No release months were confirmed but it was said the Star Wars subscription box is targeted for sometime near New York Comic-Con in October and the DC box will come in early 2016.

These subscription boxes are exactly the same type of service as the one Funko launched earlier in 2015 with their Marvel Collector Corps subscription box service.
