This certainly comes out of left field as TheWrap is reporting 20th Century Fox may have new drama brewing. Not a drama film but another Marvel licensed movie with alleged production drama as GAMBIT may lose its leading actor Channing Tatum.

A shocking reveal because Tatum has been very vocal about his passion for the X-Men mutant since being cast in the title role. He was recently reported to be learning card tricks and card throwing, as well as working on a Cajun accent too.

TheWrap writes:

"One individual close to the project told TheWrap that Tatum’s reps are still in active discussions with the studio but acknowledged that 'something is up.' The situation will have to be resolved quickly, as 'Gambit' is slated for release on Oct. 7, 2016."

Just a few days ago, GAMBIT was revealed to have a huge $154 million budget which is over $30 million more than Fox's THE WOLVERINE. A big gamble for a lesser known mutant who never could sustain his own solo comic, meanwhile Wolverine is a much bigger draw. Something doesn't seem right here.

This report comes right as FANTASTIC FOUR is about to open in theaters in 10 days, but not without a lot of alleged issues during its own production schedule.
