Redaction: The Daily SuperHero Apologizes to Studios For Poor Judgement in Embedding Leaked Footage

Rarely do I have to post something like this. I'm trying to build The Daily SuperHero into a solid source of news, information and rumors and I need to play by the rules of media responsibility.

The past few days have seen a tremendous amount of San Diego Comic-Con footage leaked online and my personal excitement level for seeing the footage, because the studios did not invite me into their movie presentations, took over my better judgement. I posted embeds to the leaked footage and promoted it on The Daily SuperHero's social media platforms.

As the dust settled and excitement died down, I realized I made a terrible decision of posting these leaks to the website. While many other sites, both bigger and smaller, have posted these leaks this is not how I want The Daily SuperHero to be seen by any studio.

I am trying to earn the respect of the studios to the point where they will invite The Daily SuperHero to set visits, press junkets, premieres, interviews, etc. and embedding footage leaks is not the path to attaining this.

Online users and readers can go to other sites and blogs to see these leaks but not here on The Daily SuperHero. Sometimes I will post a link to a leak but I should have never allowed myself to embed SDCC leaks to the website. I am deeply sorry to Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox for this and I have removed those posts from the site and social media.

Not often will you see a website or blog write up an apology post for something that was posted in error but The Daily SuperHero is not your normal site/blog. It's all about journalistic integrity and part of having integrity is knowing when you're wrong and having the balls to apologize. Not enough people in this world have the ability to say sorry which is just sad but I am not one of those people.

I hope my transparency is greatly appreciated and if I lose your readership for being honest then I again am very sorry. But in the end, this is a business of building rapport with studios and companies and embedding leaks of Comic-Con footage directly to the website is not the way you go about building any rapport.

Sincerely regretful,
