There have been some rumors actor Chris Pine was up for the role of Green Lantern Hal Jordan the past few weeks/months. Rumors will be rumors though as, back in May, Pine was reported to be up for the role of Steve Trevor in WONDER WOMAN. The latter seems to have been the correct report all along.
TheWrap is reporting Pine has signed a multi-picture deal to be Trevor, which also includes several options by Warner Bros. Options are additional film appearances the studio can pick up after the required appearances of the multi-picture deal are met.
In the comics, Trevor is an Air Force pilot and love interest of Wonder Woman. (Captain Kirk would have totally had eyes for Wonder Woman if they ever met. )
But wait... a multi-picture deal to be Wonder Woman's beau? A multi-picture deal with options sounds more like a contract for a larger, recurring role. Maybe 'Steve Trevor' translates to 'Green Lantern' in a different language and nobody can read it that way...
