WONDER WOMAN: Warner Bros. Hires Former Marvel Studios Director to Take Over

What happens when a studio loses its director after being on the job for about five months? It looks to another director who lost her job with a rival studio. Cue up those Marvel or DC is better debates!

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that former THOR: THE DARK WORLD director Patty Jenkins — she was replaced with Alan Taylor right before production began — has been hired to take over the helm for WONDER WOMAN. This comes just a few days after Warner released a statement saying that Michelle MacLaren was leaving the project due to "creative differences."

In other words, Warner Bros. found a director who had left Marvel for creative differences and hired her to replace a director who was just let go for the same reason. Hopefully it works out for everyone and maybe MacLaren will now head over to the Marvel Studios to inquire about the director's chair for CAPTAIN MARVEL... just sayin'.
