DEADPOOL: Hugh Jackman Gives Off a "Sweet Smile" When Asked About a WOLVERINE Cameo

Since March there has been some buzz about a potential Wolverine cameo in DEADPOOL. First, actor Hugh Jackman said he's open to an appearance. Then, Ryan Reynolds said scheduling could be an issue for Wolverine and Deadpool to share any screen time in his film.

Now that DEADPOOL has wrapped and is in post-production, a new interview with Jackman, by the HuffingtonPost, might be the biggest clue yet that Jackman may have already shot a cameo for DEADPOOL.

"'Hmmm, I can't ... no. Nope,' Jackman mumbled under his lips while giving off a sweet smile. 'But, I am really good mates with [Reynolds] so ...'"

While Jackman's response can be seen as him not having a great poker face, there is no video to really see how the actor reacted when being asked. It's smart to have Jackman and Reynolds share the screen for a moment — or in an end credits scene — since Jackman has officially announced that WOLVERINE 3 will be his last time as Logan.

Simply put... it was be very sad to not see a quick and funny scene between Deadpool and Wolverine. The actors want it and of course the fans would lose their minds if it can be kept a secret and actually happens.

Finally, Jackman was also asked about a possible cameo in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE and he "coyly [replied] to HuffPost's inquiry with a 'Who knows?'"

DEADPOOL releases in theaters on February 12, 2016.
