TRANSFORMERS: GENERATION ONE - A 1980s G1 Reboot Pitch

Welcome to the newest addition of The Daily SuperHero! I write all the content on the website, but I like to write other things than just news updates, speculation and theory. Recently, I've been thinking about stories I'd like to see in films thus I've been dabbling in 'Spec Treatments,' which are an unsolicited speculative story treatment. I hope you enjoy this first one!

The Transformers movie universe is expanding and Paramount must have finally realized the storytelling quality of previous Transformers movies have been... to say it as nice as possible... subpar. The first film holds up as the best of the bunch but as each sequel has come out, the story and character development has been watered down in favor of visual effects and waaaay-too-long extended battle scenes.

According to reports, Paramount is putting together a "writer's room" to expand the Transformers movie-verse into better (in theory) sequels, prequels, reboots and/or spin-offs. A great step in the right direction to get solid storytelling into the Transformers franchise. Whatever path is taken for future Transformers movies there will be a more cohesive storyline that all films will follow and it will be led by Oscar winning writer Akiva Goldsmith (A Beautiful Mind).

Because of the franchise's new path and direction, Paramount and Goldsmith will likely be looking for new story pitches from everywhere and anyone. So, for your consideration, here is an ACT I 'Spec Treatment' for a Transformers reboot using what has already been done in the movie franchise and adapting it into becoming an 80s retro reboot. (By the way, it's only ACT I because it's more fun to tease a little than reveal all of it.)
