Hydra Presence to Continue in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR as Daniel Brühl Confirms he is Baron Zemo

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON doesn't release in the U.S. until this Thursday night, but Marvel Studios is constantly moving toward production for its next movie. Next up on its production docket is CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR which has officially begun filming, per studio co-president Louis D'Esposito.

In even bigger Civil War news actor Daniel Brühl officially confirmed, to the UK website The Independent, his role in the film and it is who most fans thought he was going to be... Baron Zemo!

If you're not familiar with Baron Zemo, in the comics, he was a top scientist for the Nazis, a skilled swordsman, he has a slowed aging process, superhuman strength and agility and he is a member of Hydra. He is also a part of the villain team the Masters of Evil.

With Red Skull still missing in action since the end of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, Baron Zemo is just the next Hydra person to continue their evil influence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Armin Zola and Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker had their Hydra moments in previous films.
